Every Knife Has a Story.
So Does RSR.
RSR Knives was born from my love for craftsmanship, transformation, faith, and the belief that there is beauty in what something has endured.
What first drew me to Damascus steel wasn't simply the finished blade — it was the process. Steel is heated, hammered, folded, twisted, and worked again and again until the evidence of that process becomes part of its beauty.
To me, those patterns are beautiful scars — evidence of what the steel endured to become what it is.
And I believe that reflects us in many ways as people. We endure. We carry scars. We thrive.
Throughout my life, no matter what line of business I was in, I've always looked beyond what something simply is and found meaning in what it could represent. My faith has always influenced that perspective.
When RSR Knives began, that part of me finally had room to fully evolve — turning meaning, Scripture, life experience, and inspiration into designs I could actually bring to life.
A shape, a material, a detail, or even the process behind a blade can remind me of Scripture, spark a message, inspire a name, or eventually become an entire collection. Our Faith Series is one expression of that, but the idea reaches throughout RSR.
Every design begins with intention, and every knife has a story.
Designed with purpose. Built to be used.
At RSR, the story behind a knife matters — but so does what that knife is made to do.
Our knives are designed in Houston, Texas and handcrafted by skilled artisans in Wazirabad, Pakistan, a city with generations of blade-making tradition.
From hunting and skinning profiles to compact fixed blades, everyday carry, kitchen knives, and collectible designs, each piece is developed with its intended purpose in mind. Blade shape, steel, handle material, grip, balance, and overall feel all play a role in the design.
Across our collections, we work with steels including hand-forged 1095/15N20 Damascus and D2 tool steel, paired with materials such as natural bone, horn, hardwoods, Micarta, G10, and resin.
Because our knives are handcrafted and many feature natural materials, variations in grain, color, texture, and Damascus pattern are expected. Those differences give each piece its own character — no two are exactly alike.
For RSR, meaning never replaces function or craftsmanship. They belong together.
Some stories start with you.
Not every RSR design begins at my sketchbook.
I listen to the people who collect and carry our knives. Sometimes a suggestion sparks a new design. A conversation can inspire a shape or material. A funny moment can become a knife's name, and a color combination mentioned in passing can eventually become part of a collection.
Some ideas begin with me. Others grow from the community we've built around RSR.
That's one of my favorite parts of this journey — our collectors don't simply carry the story. Sometimes, they help create it.
